SEO & Paid Media Specialist

Performance Brands is looking for a highly motivated SEO & Paid Media Specialist who is passionate about all things content and paid media to join the Digital Department at our Head Office in Cape Town.
Reporting to the E-Commerce Manager, this role is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in the B2C and B2B e-commerce environment while working on South Africa’s leading outdoor, active and sports brands.
You must have an appetite for staying on top of the latest tech and digital systems trends and be eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, passion for optimisation and excellent communication skills are a must with the ability to work well under pressure.
Job Description
As a person that is well versed in paid media and SEO, and has a passion for all things digital, you will be responsible for executing the Paid Social and SEO/SEM strategy for the various Performance Brands e-commerce stores.
Responsibilities
Management of SEO, Google Ads and Meta Ads accounts
Implementation of SEO, PPC strategies according to product, category and campaign objectives
Conduct thorough keyword research and analysis
Optimise website content, including meta tags, headings, and image alt text, to improve search engine visibility and
Implement best practices for on-page SEO, and develop and execute strategies for acquiring high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites to improve domain authority and search
Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content strategies aligned with target keywords and user

Monitor paid media budgets, allocate funds effectively, and adjust bidding strategies to meet campaign objectives and
Analyse campaign performance metrics, such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS), and provide actionable insights for
Preparing detailed analytics reports and providing feedback on the success or failures of strategies, and ideas of where to optimise further
Required attributes, skills & qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a retail e-commerce business or digital marketing agency in a Paid Social and SEM role
Relevant academic background in digital marketing and Google certifications, or related programs
Proven track record of successful Paid Social & Google Campaigns
Adept at managing multiple brands channels across multiple categories
Skilled in E-Commerce platforms such as Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce etc
Skilled in Google Ads, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, SEMRush and other SEM tools
Skilled in SEO/SEM research, strategy development and implementation
Excellent reporting, copywriting and communications skills
Detail focused, strong problem-solving, analytical and trouble-shooting skills
Well organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Description
As a Junior Designer, you’ll play a crucial role in staying ahead of market trends and developing design concepts that align with the brand’s vision and end consumer’s needs.
Responsibilities
Research and analyse trends in sporting apparel in terms of styling, fabric and technology innovation, and colour
Create innovative, functional designs, mood boards, colour palette and design direction for seasonal ranges
Develop detailed spec packs and update them throughout the development process
Drive the product development lifecycle adhering to quality standards, fit and costing framework
Fabric and trims sourcing
Cross collaboration with our product development team and production team to ensure timely delivery of collections
Maintain a close working relationship with key retail partners and suppliers to achieve business strategy
Weekly manufacturing facility visits
Required attributes, skills & qualifications:
